Ms. Leda Braga is the President and Portfolio Manager at BlueCrest Capital Management (UK) LLP. Ms. Braga leads the systematic trading unit at the firm. She joined the firm in 2001. Ms. Braga was previously employed at JP Morgan. Prior to this, she was a Lecturer at London’s Imperial College for over three years, leading a number of research projects. Ms. Braga earned a Ph.D. in Engineering from Imperial College London. Brazilian by birth, Braga got a Ph.D. in engineering from Imperial College London, where she also lectured. She then worked at JPMorgan Chase as a quantitative analyst on the derivatives research team, according to firm materials. At JPMorgan, Braga was a colleague of Michael Platt, who founded BlueCrest in 2000. After a stint at JPMorgan spinoff Cygnifi Derivatives Services, Braga joined BlueCrest in 2001.
