Being a criminal can be a mentality as well. Even though they are free, even though they are no longer apart of the system, they are still mentally trapped,locked up and stuck. Trapped by their past, locked in those past habits and stuck somewhere between the same and worse. People can change but when their minds don’t match all you have is a free crook.
