Shakira Hemphill is a bold, purpose-driven woman of God that believes in the power of prayer, faith, and connection. She is a sought-after author, certified Life Coach, transformational leader, and inspirational speaker. One of her most important roles is being a mother to her Young King Elijah.
Shakira is committed to helping women overcome burnout, embrace their worthiness and reconnect with faith so they can fearfully experience infinite opportunity and live out their purpose. She has been guiding her clients to their purpose through coaching for the past nine years. In working with Shakira as a Spiritual Purpose Coach and Strategist, women have ignited a life of infinite possibility through the discovery of their purpose.
Shakira started her journey in education over twenty years ago in Washington, DC, as a 6th-grade ELA Teacher. Shakira has more than 20 years of progressive expertise in education, teaching and learning, curriculum development, program management, and professional development.
Shakira is the Principal/Founder of Women of Worth (WOW), Inc., a 501(c)(3) faith-based nonprofit headquartered in Washington, DC. Women of Worth, Inc.’s mission is to educate, empower, and engage women 35+ in identifying their WOW EFFECT™.
WOW was birthed out of isolation, pain, and fear. At that time in Shakira’s life, she was trying to find her purpose. During that time, Shakira found herself forced to grow, alone and fearful but surrounded by God’s power. The place of emptiness forced Shakira to tap into her purpose and truly start FEARLESSLY living out her purpose.
Through WOW Inc., Shakira helps women debunk the beliefs of unworthiness, deepen their faith, disrupt the devil’s agenda, and dive into their destiny, keeping God as their CEO. Shakira has committed to healing the world one woman at a time as they walk in their WORTH.
Shakira’s go-to scripture is Luke 1:45 AMP, “Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!” Shakira believes God’s promises are directly connected to our “WHY.” Our “why” defines the essence of your purpose to shape your destiny and is necessary in order to impact our communities and world. Shakira knows the fabric of her purpose is to inspire radical self-discovery through a journey of love and faith, allowing all to live a life of infinite possibility, unapologetically.

As a woman, empowerment serves as the nucleus of our global connection and impact. Empowerment is the unspoken encouragement and inspiration that brings visions, dreams, and hopes to fruition. It adds joy in moments of collective impact and enlightens in empty and desolate places through collaboration. Through WOW, I am able to nurture my strength and confidence as I educate, empower, and engage women in the discovery of their voice, purpose, and confidence to ultimately live a life of unapologetic boldness, faith, and purpose.
