Mattea Hunter

Pretty Please Artistry, Licensed Beauty Professional and Owner 

After years of searching for the perfect career path, Mattea pursued her passion in the beauty industry. She is currently a licensed cosmetologist and educator in Virginia and Maryland. An entrepreneur to her core, Mattea is the proud owner of Pretty Please Artistry and provides hair and makeup services for her clients. With 16 years of licensed experience, she has built a successful beauty business. Mattea is passionate about helping other professionals build their businesses and brand. As well as having extensive experience in the beauty industry, she is a proud graduate of Bennett College and holds a bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades education with a concentration in Math and Language Arts. Before pursuing a career in the beauty industry, Mattea was a part of the New Hire training leadership team for American Express. In addition, she was a member of the management team for Nordstrom. Her commitment to serve people with the utmost respect and care landed her positions with both Fortune 500 companies. Her extensive experience in management, team building, and customer care training makes her an asset to the beauty industry. Mattea is most known and revered among her colleagues and peers for her compassion of others and dedication to helping develop dynamic leaders.

Mattea is the proud wife of Bryan Hunter and the mother of two beautiful children Zayah and Zachary.

Mattea is known as a beauty professional, coach and consultant. She takes pride in helping women pursue their passion, walk confidently in their calling and curate the dream career and life that they desire.

I nurture my strength by always revisiting “my why”.  I am sure of the work that I am called to do because I am confident in my assignment. It is not limited to hair or makeup.  Working behind the chair is the avenue used to make an impact on the lives of women connected to me.
