Hear the Heart of God
By Denise Joyce Williams
In our world where there is so much suffering it’s not surprising that people are looking for answers. Many are looking for a time and date for the end of the world in order to escape the tragedy that has engulfed our fallen generation. If we look at the scriptures, we’ll find the disciples asked the same question of Jesus in Matthew 24:3. They too, wanted to know when the end would come. They too, wanted an end to the suffering and persecution that they endured in their era. What comfort did they find?
The word of God has given us a detailed account of every major event that will transpire globally and how as individuals we can ready ourselves. Our current dispensation is saturated with one catastrophe after another. The Ebola panic; Entero-virus D68, life threatening weather patterns, violent crimes, food shortages, collapsing financial structures and breaches in global governments point to Matthew 24:6. In that passage Jesus reminds us that these things shall be and MUST happen but the end is NOT YET! Jesus warns in this scripture these were merely the beginning of sorrows. There is no praying or fasting them into oblivion! While many believe the calamity in our world is spawned by God; those who understand the prophecy realize these occurrences are signs of the spiritual season that is in actuality the barometer for Christ’s impending return.
God is still speaking to humanity every single day. The sixty four thousand dollar question is; are we truly listening? Are we watching the signs as they unfold while prayerfully seeking Him? Or have we become so complacent that we the so called prepared body of believers be just as surprised as the un-churched when Christ returns? Have we forgotten to do the work of an evangelist? Are we really putting enough effort into pointing the lost back to God through Jesus? God loves us so much that in addition to sending His only Son to reconcile humanity back to Him; He converses with us in three distinct ways. God’s word is continually confirmed through societal, government and climate variations. The word of God mentions how these three systems work in unison. These omens will ultimately play a key role in identifying the worldwide climate that will exist at the moment of Jesus’ return.
The word of God reminds us that in the last days good will be perceived as evil and evil will be acceptable. This palpable breakdown in morality negatively affects collective decisions the leaders of our nation commit to which is a gauge for how we behave. Due to rebellion against all that is holy, the world has become so evil that the absence of compassion has emerged as the new norm; rather than the exception. The bible describes it as “the love of many waxing cold” (Matthew 24:12). Through the open rebellion of witchcraft, God’s perfect world has been corrupted by the perverted imaginations of mankind. Our broken relationship with the Father has cultivated a chaotic atmosphere filled with perpetual doom. Each subsequent generation is more contemptible with an even larger spiritual void than the last. Jesus told us there will be false leaders who will mislead people into believing they are God or like a God! They will appear to be superhuman, touting miracles and signs which will deceive the masses. He warned us to not believe these are authentic works of God because the deceiver can also perform miracles. In second Corinthians 11:14 Paul tells us the devil can even transform himself into an angel of light!
There is one thing however the deceiver cannot do. He cannot live holy! He cannot acknowledge Jesus is Lord nor can he show us how God operates daily in our lives to bless us. He cannot show us the way to salvation. In the midst of this seemingly faithless season, God is still speaking to those who know His voice. We who hear Him should not be fearful.
Many people feel disconnected from God because they are searching for a big God that is “Out there”. Here is how we connect the dots to establish a connection with God. God is not a form or spirit that resides apart from us! He lives within us; He breathed life into mankind and made us living souls (Genesis 2:7). What we need to be allied, to have peace and fulfillment is a relationship with the Lamb! There is your formula to speak candidly with God and there is no viable substitute! There is your way to cope in this dying world. There are no magic drugs, therapist’s explanations or deductive reasoning… Our relationship with the Father through His Son, our Savior Jesus is our comfort!
God is speaking; ARE YOU REALLY LISTENING?
Be encouraged and blessed child of the most high God!
