“Evolve with every experience.” ― Lailah Gifty Akita

Jennifer Urezzio wants people to feel connected when she walks into a room. And that is her gift. Helping people connect as a master intuitive, author, teacher and speaker. She is the founder of Blooming Grove and of  Soul Language, which allow her to share tools through her programs that allow users to live a more connected life. Let’s check in with where she is now…

What has been your proudest accomplishment – personal or business – since your 2014 feature?

There have been many amazing moments over the last 8 years. We are up to 30 practitioners of Soul Language and I’m doing a TedTalk in November in Hilton Head about the Wisdom of Dogs.  But for me, I think the proudest moment came recently. I’m heading a team for a client and someone came to me and asked how to communicate better with this individual.

For me, it felt like a huge win because back when I was in corporate America, I was labeled the problem – and now I’m being asked to solve a communications issue.

What has been the hardest lesson learned and how did it effect change in your journey?

My lesson is always the same, I just learn it in a new way. How to be flexible and not take things personally. When you let go of having to be in control of everything it allows for more goodness to come into your life.

How have you managed to stay connected with other women or your ideal client?

I think it is an intention and like everything else, you need to set aside time and energy for it.

How did your business endure during the pandemic? Any major pivots in how you do business?

My business has always been online so there wasn’t a major pivot. Everything slowed down a little and that gave me the time and opportunity to understand more of what I wanted out of my life and business.

Has who you are at your core grown or stayed the same?

I think who I am at my core has been expressed more. I’m always going to be a steel marshmallow (hard on the outside and fluffy on the inside). Now, I just allow more of the marshmallow to be seen.

Any relocations or family additions?

We added a pet to our family. An Austrian Blue Heeler – and she keeps us on our toes.

What is your secret to staying relevant?

I think when you are being who you are at your core you are always relevant.

What does your self-care routine look like?

Every moment is an opportunity for you to take care of yourself. To say yes or no to opportunities that support what you want and need. I walk a lot and recently I got a new yoga chair (which I’m not sure I love) . . . but each day I do something just for me.

Would you say that your business has scaled in terms of products, services, employees etc. since 2014?

I have new team members now, including an assistant and a social media person. And, I finally created an amazing library of content my clients can access.

What is a recent or upcoming new project, product or new endeavor?

I’m working on several new products including a new program called Failure to Freedom.

Has there been any life event / news headline etc. that changed you?

My mom had a house fire in July 2020. She was fine, the house was toast, and we lost a treasured pet. I spent the next year as project manager for the rebuild. It allowed me to come to terms with a lot of fears, including fear of not being safe.

What does success look like to you now?

To me, success is defined as freedom. Freedom to do what I want, when I want.

Tell us about your most popular/successful endeavor/product/service based purely on customer response/sales?

That would be the paradigm of Soul Language. With over 30 practitioners and thousands of individuals worldwide knowing and using their Soul Languages to create the life they want.

How important has having a strong support circle been in your journey?

It is one of the most important keys to success. You need those people (personally and professionally) that are going to see things you are unable to see, pick you up when you are down, and celebrate with you.

Whose opinion matters the most to you?

I think no one can hurt me like me.

Think back to a time when you felt your life was in “shambles”. How would the woman you are now handle that same situation differently?

I am the woman I am now because of those shambles.

Who or what pours into you to help you achieve your own wellness goals, maintain your joy and pour back into others?

I have people who love and support me and the dog helps a lot. She allows me the opportunity to pause and step back into joy.

Have your hopes for your legacy expanded since your first feature OR are you more

focused on “manifesting and living in your now” versus what you leave behind?

I have always regarded my business as a 100-year legacy, so every question or decision is based on that belief and feeling.

What would you say is your passion? What motivates you to keep going in order to align your life with that passion?

Connection…I don’t want to suffer so I align, connect and choose to view each life experience (especially the challenging ones) as just that – an experience that will pass and change me in the process.

Tell us about a time you made yourself proud.

When a client has a transformation, I feel like “YES!” I have done my job today and that gives me great satisfaction.

How do you make time for the things/people and places that are most important to you?

I make sure to get them in my schedule, and things always seem to work out.

How do you nurture your gifts?

I listen deeply to myself and keep trying new things. I also always make an effort to not judge myself when I get things wrong.

What’s next for you and how can our readers find out more?

Well…the next big thing is my TedTalk in November, plus I have a couple of book ideas around energy, and I would love to write a mystery novel . . . maybe one starring a certain Blue Heeler and her person.
