Highlights
By submitting your Articles, you agree that Connected Woman Magazine has the full right to publish your articles in Connected Woman Magazine and that you are the author of your submission. We ask that all articles be original to Connected Woman Magazine and not submitted to other publications, past or current (unless Blog feature).
Please do not send us excerpts/duplicates of your written works unless requested for special promotions. No image submission is needed or requested with your article but if you have an image you would like to use then send with your submission (must be hi-resolution and usage approved from source). We want articles that are engaging and interesting on topics of interest to our target audience of women. In general, they must be professionally written and proofed for errors in grammar and spelling etc. prior to submission.
While we do not provide a written style guide that applies to every writer we ask that you use your best judgement in representing yourself and the magazine online or on paper. Develop your writing style and be confident in your writing.
Plan your editorial calendar. Know when new articles are due and make it apart of your schedule and meeting your deadline will become a part of your submission obligation. Set a tone with your writing that aligns with CWM, women (or girls) and your niche area of interest/expertise.
CWM does not want to stifle your writing style so while we have no length maximums, articles of 500-800 words are great. It’s really about the flow of the article from beginning to end so please read your finished product to yourself to ensure you are making the point you want to convey.
All submissions must be your own original work—written by you, not copied, borrowed, or repurposed from other sources. We take this seriously, as we have encountered plagiarism before, and any non-original content will not be accepted. For visuals, we typically pair articles with curated stock images; however, you are absolutely welcome to submit your own branded title card or image (featuring your photo, name, or logo) if you’d like your piece to have a more personalized and cohesive look.
Before submitting, we encourage you to visit the Connected Woman Magazine website and explore our blog to get a true feel for our voice, content, and community. Take a moment to read a few articles, engage with the stories, and make sure your writing aligns with our vibe—authentic, empowering, and connection-driven. We’re looking for contributors who don’t just write well, but who genuinely resonate with the heart of what we do.
If you have general inquires about contributing not found on this page, please feel free to email us directly to make sure all your questions are answered before submitting.
Don’t forget! Send your article in WORD format and include your name and title as you want it listed. Also, send us a short bio and any website/social media links we can add to your profile. Lastly, send us a high-resolution photo. Be sure to have all items before starting your submission. We can’t wait to hear from you!
