MEET THE FOUNDER
Angela Wesley is a woman with a passion for supporting other women.
Starting Connected Woman Magazine (CWM) first as a newsletter-The Business 101, her original idea was to connect businesswomen, many of whom were her clients or contacts from her graphic design business. Due to the overwhelming support and article contributions in those early days, it soon outgrew the newsletter format and in early 2014, it was relaunched as CWM as a blog. For a decade, she has run the blog solo and continued to highlight women and girls and give them a platform to share their stories and amplify their voices to connect with other women on relatable topics.
Share your journey. Connect with hers. – CWM
When not putting diverse women in the spotlight, she continues to run her freelance graphic design and media business, alegna creates, as well as a full-time 9to5er juggling a business and a part-time job. She hopes that the blog will continue to inspire women to make the connection and that women will be encouraged to support other women with the message that there is something that connects us all.

Dear Connected Sister,
Welcome to Connected Woman Magazine — where stories rise, voices matter, and the beauty of womanhood is celebrated in all its power and complexity.
As Editor-in-Chief, it’s both an honor and a responsibility to curate a space where women from all walks of life can see themselves reflected, respected, and revered. This magazine was born from a bold vision — to connect women through real stories, raw truths, and radiant victories. Our mission is simple but powerful: to amplify the voices of women who are breaking barriers, building dreams, and uplifting others as they climb.
Every feature, every interview, and every article is intentionally chosen to spotlight the brilliance of everyday women doing extraordinary things — the small business owners, the healers, the creatives, the changemakers, the caretakers, and the silent warriors who show up every single day. These women may not always trend online, but they’re shaping communities, cultures, and generations.
We believe deeply in the importance of women supporting women. Not just in theory — but in real, tangible ways. In showing up. In buying from each other’s businesses. In making space at the table, and sometimes flipping the whole table over to build a better one. We believe in creating a sisterhood that doesn’t just connect — it empowers, enlightens, and elevates.
Thank you for joining us on this journey. Whether you’re reading this as a supporter, a storyteller, or the woman we haven’t met yet but are destined to feature — know that you belong here. You are seen, you are valuable, and you are Connected.
In Sisterhood & Power,
Angela
