The Daily Connection – Value Vs. Validity

If you are in business offering a product or service, you will run into people will try to hustle, nickle and dime , get over and manipulate your pricing to suite their budget. IT WON’T HELP YOU. When you first start out you may feel that to build your client list you adjust your pricing but you realize 5 years later- when they are still broke and you along with them is that you cannot let their budget determine your value. Some clients never grow. Some business owners never grow. They never have a budget except for what and who they want to have one for. They will dismiss your pricing and go right over to another and pay 10 times more because that connection has more value to them that you do. That’s what they are telling and showing you with their actions. If Oprah was charging 5K for a seminar, they would never have the gall to question her staff about the price. They would either silently bow out or get their coins together. Even if it means their car payment is late because they rearranged some funds to be able to go but it doesn’t matter to them..because she is valid and important to them. Growing the Harpo Enterprise and being able to add that to their bio is bigger than growing your small business. So remember YOU determine your value. And remember that everyone won’t GROW with you. Some you will have to leave behind. And that’s ok. – Angela/Founder
